Attorney
Ms. Stefanou devotes her practice to representing the injured in workers’ compensation matters at the firm of Rubenstein, Berliner & Shinrod. She has over a decade of experience representing both petitioners and insurance companies in litigated workers’ compensation cases, from intake to trial. Ms. Stefanou has appeared in all workers’ compensation courts throughout Northern and Central New Jersey and has established relationships with colleagues in the field.
Prior to pivoting to the practice of workers’ compensation in 2014, Ms. Stefanou worked at various large insurance companies in both insurance coverage and mass-tort bodily injury claims. That background, involving the assessment of injuries and valuation of claims, was a natural springboard to the transition to practicing workers’ compensation. Before working in the insurance industry, Ms. Stefanou started her legal career as a Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey- Division of Law. There, she initially represented the former Division of Youth and Family Services litigating child protective service cases and later represented the Board of Nursing.
